Rose Gold and How To Style It...
The popularity of Rose Gold has been soaring over the past few years, and it looks like it’s here to stay. We see it everywhere. You can buy pretty much anything in this colour, from eyeshadow to iPhones, but does anyone know much about it?
Well, the recent trend was pioneered by Michael Kors and Marc Jacobs, but the use of rose gold can be traced back 2,000 years to ancient Colombia where master metal workers intentionally tarnished their jewellery to give it that vibrant pink colour we know and love.
The Russians were so obsessed with it at the beginning of the nineteenth century that it was once known as Russian Gold, but now it is merely referred to as pink, red or rose. Its pinkish colour made by combining gold and copper creates an alloy, giving it that vibrant rosy glow.
Rose gold makes a perfect gift for that special someone and is becoming increasingly popular in the making of engagement rings and wedding bands. Not only is it a stylish way to make your bracelets unique, its warm pinky hue automatically suggests ideas of romance and love. We know what we’ll be asking for this Valentine's day.
How to style it:
Rose gold is excellent because it is effortlessly dressed up or down, it is less harsh than silver or gold and goes with pretty much everything.
It works fabulously combined with white crystals and sits perfectly next to silver; consider stacking rings or layering necklaces and bangles to create a trendy, everyday look.
